Dr. Brad Marino

Bradley S. Marino, MD, MPP, MSCE, MBA, is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief at Duke Health and Duke University School of Medicine. A nationally recognized leader in pediatric cardiology, critical care medicine, and congenital heart disease research, Dr. Marino also plays a key role in the development of North Carolina Children’s, a partnership between Duke Health and UNC Health to build North Carolina’s first freestanding children’s hospital.

Prior to joining Duke, Dr. Marino served as the Ronald and Helen Ross Distinguished Chair of Pediatric Cardiology, Chair of the Children’s Institute Department of Heart, Vascular & Thoracic, and Executive Co-Director of the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center at Cleveland Clinic. He previously held leadership positions at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

An internationally recognized researcher, Dr. Marino's work focuses on improving outcomes for children and adults with congenital heart disease, including neurodevelopmental, psychosocial, and quality-of-life outcomes in high-risk populations. He has served in numerous leadership roles with national organizations dedicated to advancing pediatric cardiovascular care and research.

Dr. Marino brings to The Children's Heart Foundation Board of Directors a distinguished career dedicated to advancing research and improving outcomes for individuals living with congenital heart defects.
