More than 30 leading international pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons comprise the CHF Medical Advisory Board, which overseas the research granting process
Research has made a difference in the lives of thousands of children and their families. In the past decade, death rates for congenital heart defects have declined by 30 percent because of advances made through research.
The Children’s Heart Foundation, Oregon Chapter, is a group made up of all volunteers who are dedicated to raising awareness of Congenital Heart Defects, and raising money for the national effort to fund the most promising research to help improve the lives of children and families affected.
To help raise awareness and funds to support research we host a few fun events each year.
It’s time to Register for the Heart Walk! Join us on Sunday, October 1 in Laurelhurst Park we partner with the Adult Congenital Heart Association to host the Portland Metro Congenital Heart Walk! The Congenital Heart Walk is a national fundraising event series benefiting the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) and The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF). We walk to honor and remember the millions who have been impacted by congenital heart disease (CHD)
Each summer we partner with the Bike Gallery to host our popular annual wine rides, featuring quiet, rural roads, acclaimed Northern Willamette Valley wineries and beautiful wine country. Tours are fully supported and include a gourmet lunch, wine-tasting. In the spring we host our signature event: Vinolympics. Vinolymipcs is a fun evening, an enjoyable wine tasting meets carnival and is held at the Theory Ballroom at OMSI. Please Save the Date for Vinolympics 2018, on February 10! Check back this fall for ticket purchasing info!
